Can abortion be justified?

In your opinion can an abortion ever be justified? If you think not, is it because of a certain set of religious beliefs? If you think it's justifiable then also please explain why?

I personally believe no abortion can be justified unless it's to save the life of the mother who would otherwise die. This belief comes from my strong, yet mostly unsuccessful catholic upbringing.

Extremely disabled kids, way beyond something like Down's Syndrome, are an ethical concern. However, sadly, those kids are often victims of the mom's neglect during pregnancy,

I believe the person carrying the baby has the say in which they want to carry it or not. Doesn't matter if it's for health reasons or to simply just not go through the pain and suffering of carrying a baby for 9 months. Also young girls who get sexually assaulted and end up pregnant should 100% be able to get an abortion, a child should not have to carry another child and give birth. I don't think the government should have any say on what people do with their own bodies. Separation of church and state is a thing that many people have forgotten, and it's disgusting to see that Roe Vs. Wade has been reversed. A clump of cells has more protective rights than young pregnant girls and it's not okay IMO.

So you're saying abortion should be used like birth control? Because thats what happens when you say they can get an abortion .."just not go through the pain and suffering of carrying a baby for 9 months". Thats crazy to me

There are times when it can be justified. I mean at the period when the health of the lady is at risk, if they decide to have that baby.

Abortion is the termination of an innocent life, so it is wrong on all counts, not just in religion. It’s willful murder. Don’t engage in an act that you know you are not ready for the consequences.

You gave valid reasons for why abortions can be justified and it is basic especially when there are cases of pregnancy complications that is putting the life of the woman in danger.
