Do you follow along with lyrics?

If you are listening to a song for the first time, do you usually sing along with the lyrics? After seeing that I am interested in a particular song I immediately get the lyrics so that I can understand the message behind it. I don’t like listening to songs without being able to sing along, especially songs that I like.

I like to look up the lyrics to a song I really like the first few times so I can understand the lyrics. Most of the time I'll look up an official lyric video uploaded on Youtube and after a few times I can memorize the lyrics. I have issues with processing audio at times, so this really helps me understand lyrics better.

If I listen to a song that I really enjoy, the next thing to do is get the lyrics so that I can understand better what I am listening to. Once I know how to sing it offhand then there will be no need to follow along.

I think that is the way everyone does it. Once you have listened a few times then you would not need the lyrics anymore to flow along.

Lyrics is very important for me in a song. I pay attention to lyrics and if the lyrics are not nice, I might dislike the song.

Sometimes I follow along with the lyrics because really want to feel the message deeply, even for songs that I know well. I do this especially for heartbreak songs.
